Job summary

US Foods driver positions are available in Charlotte, NC, offering an overnight schedule (Sun-Thu). You will be responsible for safely operating trucks to remote dispatch sites and may cover backhaul or deliveries, with pre-trip and post-trip inspections required.

Base compensation starts at $20.40 per hour with additional mileage/stop components. Requirements include CDL Class A with endorsements, 6 months of commercial driving, doubles endorsement preferred, and the ability to work overnight.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A with endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• 6 months of commercial driving experience required.
• Doubles endorsement required; 6 months doubles preferred.
• Comfortable working overnight.
• Able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites
• May be called upon to perform duties of Backhaul or Delivery Driver

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• 6 months commercial driving experience required
• Doubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferred
• Must be comfortable working overnight
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $20.40 and $33.00 per hour. As applicable, this role will also receive component pay (i.e., mileage, stops).
