Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group seeks a Shuttle Driver for Independence Village in Petoskey to transport senior residents safely and courteously. The role is part-time, with a schedule Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

You will complete trip logs, manage routes, and ensure vehicle cleanliness while supporting residents with dignity. The ideal candidate has a chauffeur's license, a clean driving record, and a genuine care for seniors.

Qualifications

  • 3 years driving a shuttle bus or similar vehicle.
  • Chauffeur's license; must have a clean driving record.
  • Compassionate care for seniors.
  • Ideal candidate enjoys helping and working with seniors.
  • Ability to be timely, patient, and accommodating; familiar with the local area.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents getting on/off the bus using safe methods.
  • This may include using a lift, ambulation, and/or physical transfer.
  • Completes bus trip log.
  • Completes required route in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Organize and coordinate route priorities to maintain productivity.
  • Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the bus.
  • Fill out daily inspection log at trip start and report findings.

Schedule Monday Wednesday and Friday from 830am 5pm Supporting occasional outings as needed outside of scheduled days

Required Experience for Shuttle Driver
  • 3 years driving a shuttle bus or similar vehicle
  • Chauffeurs License; must have a clean driving record

  • Ability to be timely patient and accommodating; ability to maintain a bus schedule and is familiar with the local area
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds

Primary Responsibilities for Shuttle Driver
  • Assist residents getting on and off the bus utilizing the appropriate and safest mode for assistance
  • This may include using a lift ambulation andor physical transfer
  • Completes bus trip log
  • Completes required route in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to organize and coordinate their route and route priorities to maintain the most efficient and productive process
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the bus
  • Fills out daily inspection log at the beginning of each trip and turns in form when completed
  • As a Shuttle Driver you must maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity
