Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery including Seamers, Slitters, Rewinders, and Core Cutters safely and efficiently.
• Prepares production supplies and performs daily machine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Reads job specification sheets to determine requirements and loads materials accordingly.
• Enters tolerances and parameters into the machine computer and monitors settings.
• Ensures proper speeds and product placement; checks samples against specs.
• Completes required paperwork for each job and packs finished product for shipment.
• Cleans up machine and work area and assists with training of new employees.
• Adheres to plant rules and supports other tasks as needed.

1st shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 PM

JOB TITLE: Conversion Palletizer

Basic Responsibilities:

Safe and efficient operation of production machinery including Seamers, Slitters, Rewinders, and Core Cutters.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Prepares production supplies including boxes and cores.
• Conducts daily inspection and preventative maintenance of machinery.
• Conducts general set up of production machinery.
• Installs plates, rollers, guides, blades, and related equipment on machinery.
• Reads job specification sheet to determine job requirements.
• Enters tolerances and parameters into machine computer.
• Loads, centers, and webs product into proper machine.
• Maintains proper speeds and settings of machinery throughout shift.
• Routinely checks product samples against job specifications.
• Conducts Quality procedures including inspection of finished goods for quality defects.
• Completes required paperwork for each job.
• Packs finished product for shipment to customer.
• Cleans up machine and work area.
• Meets production and quality goals.
• Assists in training of new employees.
• Assists with other tasks as needed.
• Complies with all Plant Rules.
• All other appropriate duties as assigned by the management team and permitted by the existing union contract language.
