Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Baytown, TX is seeking a Visual Merchandising Coordinator to maintain a fresh showroom aligned with corporate guidelines and to optimize product display and floor plan organization for an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training required; 2+ years retail display experience desired.
• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent educational knowledge preferred.
• General computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office 365 preferred.
• Physical ability to push, pull, lift and move up to 60+ pounds of furniture.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical lifting assessment.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and present showroom merchandise based on Best Seller Report.
• Plan for new merchandise and coordinate with store manager to remove or markdown floor samples.
• Transfer in new furniture and accessories according to placement plan.
• Mark down, display, and manage inactive or aged accessories per guidelines.
• Maintain rug racks and ensure current rugs per schematic.
• Display accessories and accents according to Visual Merchandising Standards.
• Keep accessory fixtures updated with appropriate items.
• Complete Display Coordinator Weekly Checklist and review with Display Manager/General Manager.
