Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Although Hajoca is a large organization, each location, called a Profit Center, operates like a small business, managed by the Profit Center Manager. A typical Profit Center includes a warehouse, counter, sales office, and sometimes a showroom. These centers operate under unique trade names and offer customized approaches tailored to local markets.

Weinstein Supply is one such trade name, seeking a Showroom Salesperson at its Collingswood, NJ location.

Compensation for this role ranges from $20 to $26 per hour, based on experience, plus a generous commission plan, vendor spiffs, and potential yearly profit sharing.

Shift: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (9-5pm) & Wed (9-8pm)

About the Role:

  • Provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to showroom customers.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction to meet or exceed sales and profit goals, increasing profit sharing.
  • Welcome customers warmly and provide hospitality.
  • Articulate our showroom value proposition, engage customers, and demonstrate the value we offer.
  • Identify customer needs, recommend suitable products, address hurdles, and facilitate sales progress.
  • Use Hajoca technology to review product specs, pricing, and availability.
  • Utilize sales reports and forecasting tools to meet sales targets.
  • Process sales orders and bids, expedite purchases, and maintain customer engagement throughout projects.
  • Handle showroom sale returns and refunds per company policy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe showroom environment.
  • Participate in industry associations and professional events to stay updated on trends and build relationships.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

About You:

  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in plumbing showroom sales.
  • Knowledge of showroom products is preferred.
  • Interest in kitchen and bath design trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) for communication, reporting, and customer management.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Deep product knowledge to answer questions, upsell, and cross-sell.
  • Ability to overcome objections and close sales.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with vendors and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate order processing systems.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.
