Job summary

Metro Electric Supply is seeking a full-time showroom sales associate to help customers in a fast-paced lighting showroom. You will assist with promotions, read catalogs for part numbers and prices, and advise substitutions when items are unavailable.

You will process orders, receipts, and payments, and keep the showroom organized. We value a friendly, outgoing personality and a self-motivated, detail-oriented team member who can provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Sales experience is desired but not required.
• Comfortable meeting people and helping fulfill their needs.
• Extremely outgoing and social personality.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and punctual.
• Experience in the lighting industry is a plus.
• Education: High school or equivalent preferred.

What we do:We assist customers in an unlimited capacity including remodels, whole house lighting, custom lighting design, retail, and corporate layouts; you name it, we do it! We train all of our employees and get them ALA (American Lighting Association) certified, have multiple training events each year to ensure we stay on top of what is new, fresh and current in the industry; all while sticking to our motto of delivering Ultimate Customer Service to every individual who chooses to interact with Metro Lighting.

Compensation Details:

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $18.00 per hour, depending on experience. This position is also incentive eligible, based on specific and relevant business metrics.

Work Shift and Hours:

This is a full-time hourly, retail sales position. Shifts vary week to week and include weekends and one possible evening a week (7PM). We strive to have at least one full weekend off each month.
