Summary
The SMWA assists in carrying out the maintenance, merchandising, and warehouse functions of multi-stores and helps provide an exceptional guest experience.
Essential Functions
- Maintain cleanliness of the showroom, warehouse, parking lot, restrooms, and common areas to ensure an inviting environment.
- Perform dusting, vacuuming, custodial tasks, and trash removal.
- Receive, process, and handle products with care.
- Assemble furniture following work instructions, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Inspect and repair furniture, restoring it as needed.
- Maintain equipment and promote safety in the workplace.
- Organize and optimize warehouse space.
- Perform minor repairs such as plumbing and carpentry.
- Paint showroom walls for updates and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Visual Team to ensure showroom presentation and functionality.
- Display collections and accessories per the Visual Merchandising Manual.
- Maintain track lighting to enhance product placement.
- Assist in product placement and store events preparation.
- Create a seamless and memorable guest experience during furniture pick-up, verifying details for accuracy.
- Follow standard operating procedures and promote accountability for guest experience quality.
- Support team members in making guest-centric decisions aligned with company values.
- Engage in community events such as VIP and Grand Openings.
Schedule Expectations
- Work 40 hours per week, with potential overtime during peak times.
- Schedule may change based on business needs.
- Travel to regional stores and new store openings may be required.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- Preferred prior warehouse experience.
- At least 1 year of maintenance and warehouse experience, including receiving and assembling.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull furniture over 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Neat, professional appearance.
- High courtesy in guest service.
- Troubleshooting skills for customer service issues.
