Job summary

Legends Global seeks a skilled production technician to oversee the production and presentation of show elements, including sound reinforcement, stage lighting, labor, and video presented in the venue during events at the Orpheum Theatre.

This role is both creative and technical, requiring coordination with the Theatre Director, training of staff, and hands-on management of intercom systems, lighting, video, and security to ensure safe, high-quality performances.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to program and operate video switcher and related control room equipment.
• Familiarity with intercom systems (Riedel, Telex, Clear-Com) is essential.
• Strong communication skills and leadership experience in fast-paced event environments.
• Experience with budgeting and show expense tracking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production elements for each show including sound reinforcement, stage lighting, labor, and video in the venue.
• Operate house lights, lightboard, and AV equipment for events; support Anniversary Films as needed.
• Train staff on basic technical skills and software; ensure back-up coverage for key systems.
• Manage Altum preventive maintenance software and coordinate security and badge processes.
• Maintain inventory and ordering of theatre supplies; assist with closing procedures after tours.
• Participate in monthly financial reviews and weekly production meetings to plan needs and budgets.
