Job summary

High Point University is seeking a hands-on, field-oriented professional to support daily grounds maintenance, landscaping, irrigation, seasonal color, and outdoor event readiness across campus. You will work with Grounds staff, Campus Enhancement partners, contractors, and departments to maintain a safe, attractive, show-ready environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years in grounds maintenance or related field.
• Experience coordinating work crews, contractors or vendors preferred.
• Hands-on irrigation, landscape maintenance or seasonal color programs preferred.
• Experience operating commercial grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and work management systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect campus grounds daily and assist with maintenance activities.
• Field monitor conditions and coordinate corrective action for show-ready campus.
• Assist with outdoor event support including tents, furnishings, signage, barriers and cleanup.
• Track work requests and coordinate with contractors and vendors for quality and on-time delivery.
• Assist with irrigation monitoring, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Support storm, snow and emergency preparedness as required.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure campus readiness.
