Job summary

Royal Caribbean International seeks a Light Technician to program, operate, and maintain lighting, show control and haze/fog systems across shipboard venues for a variety of entertainment productions, events, and activities. The role requires at least a high school diploma; technical theater/lighting degrees are preferred.

A minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience with live show lighting and maintenance of fixtures is expected.

Qualifications

Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
Bachelor's or Associates in Technical Theater, Sound, Lights, A/V preferred.
Background in stage, technical theater and production (i.e. electrical, technical, light and sound) preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience with hands‑on programming and operation of live performance lighting, as well as regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.

Responsibilities

Program and operate lighting, show control and haze/fog systems in entertainment venues.
Maintain and troubleshoot conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures and associated control systems.
Collaborate with production staff and performing artists to ensure safe and reliable lighting for shows and events.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in entertainment lighting and control technology.
