Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Bagdad, AZ is seeking a Shovel/Drill Diagnostic Mechanic I in Mine Maintenance to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment.

You will work on electrical and hydraulic systems, handle components such as dippers, hoist transmissions, GET, drill bits and motors, and prioritize repairs as needed. Required are two years of mechanical maintenance experience or a related education background, plus ability to read blueprints and follow safety instructions in English.

Qualifications

• Two years in mechanical/maintenance crafts or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to interpret verbal/written work and safety instructions in English.
• Proficiency in layout and design from blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, replace and repair mechanical and hydraulic components on heavy equipment.
• Prioritize repairs and perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete work orders accurately and train other employees.
