Employment Type: Adjunct/Part-Time (Terminal Fixed Term)

Position Title: Short-Term Instructional - Humanities

Job Profile: Adjunct Instructor

Applications will be considered for vacancies occurring from July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027. This posting does not target a specific position; candidates will be added to a general pool and contacted when openings arise.

Key Job Responsibilities

The successful instructor will design, prepare, and deliver high-quality humanities courses for undergraduate students, incorporating inclusive teaching practices and fostering a diverse and respectful learning environment. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment tools aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Delivering engaging lectures, workshops, and discussions that promote critical thinking and scholarly inquiry.
  • Providing timely, constructive feedback on assignments and examinations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participating in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development activities.
  • Mentoring students and supporting their academic growth.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related humanities discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching or teaching‑related activities at the college level.
  • Proficiency in English language instruction and use of technology in the classroom.
Conditions of Appointment

A pre‑employment education check, including verification of academic credentials, and a criminal background investigation will be conducted. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must maintain such status for the duration of employment.
