Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative and skilled Short-Form Video Editor who can transform raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

The ideal candidate understands short-form storytelling, audience retention, fast-paced editing, and social media trends. You should be able to independently edit videos that capture attention, maintain viewer engagement, and align with different brand styles.

Role & responsibilities:

• Edit engaging short-form videos (1590 seconds) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.


• Add captions, transitions, sound effects, background music, and motion graphics to enhance video quality.


• Create attention-grabbing hooks and maintain strong pacing to improve audience retention.


• Incorporate trending editing styles, formats, and creative techniques where relevant.


• Recreate or adapt editing styles based on reference videos while maintaining brand consistency.


• Suggest creative improvements to hooks, storytelling, pacing, and visual presentation.


• Optimize videos for vertical (9:16) mobile viewing across social media platforms.


• Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to execute creative ideas and video concepts.


• Maintain consistent editing quality while adapting to different brands and content styles.


• Manage multiple video projects, maintain consistent daily/weekly output, and meet deadlines.


• Implement feedback and revisions efficiently.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in short-form video editing (preferred).


• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.


• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts content styles.


• Ability to create engaging hooks, smooth transitions, and visually appealing edits.


• Good knowledge of pacing, storytelling, color correction, and sound design.


• Ability to follow reference videos and recreate editing styles accurately.


• Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.


• Ability to work independently, manage multiple editing tasks, and deliver videos on time.


• A portfolio showcasing previous short-form video edits is mandatory.

Nice to Have:

• Experience editing personal branding, educational, or business-related short-form content.


• Advanced motion graphics and subtitle animation skills.


• Understanding of audience retention and video performance metrics.


• Familiarity with AI-powered video editing tools to improve efficiency.
