Job summary

NBCUniversal's Commerce Studios is seeking an Associate Producer to support production for commerce content across TODAY and NBC News. The AP handles pre-production, scripting, and edits, and must excel in both taped and live segments, with occasional Saturdays in studio.

The role requires strong organization, collaboration with internal and external teams, and a passion for shoppable programming. This is a hybrid role with a minimum four in-office days, lasting about 12 months with deliverables

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience creating content.
• 4-year college degree in journalism, marketing/business, or communications with an interest in storytelling or equivalent experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, Avid, Slack, and Google Docs.
• Proficiency with hybrid meeting tools including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for shoots and live commerce content across NBC News brands and platforms.
• Conduct pre-interviews, scout locations, script tape and live segments and ensure edit elements are shot.
• Work with graphic artists and editors to bring segments to air.
• Collaborate with commerce HQ, Partnerships, Legal & Standards and other NBCU teams.
• Curate product lists via research, testing and pitching for various platforms.
• Liaise with external contacts such as PR firms and internal Design Team for props.
• Manage special projects and solve problems creatively.
• Follow internal tracking processes for projects, segments, and research materials.
• Tuesday–Saturday schedule on select weeks; Monday–Friday on others.
