Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an Associate Producer to assist in all aspects of long-form production in New York. This short-term role supports story development, research, pre-interviews, on-camera interviews, shooting, fact-checking and editing under the direction of the Senior Producer.

The position is hybrid with four days in the office, offering exposure to flagship NBCUniversal brands and hands-on production experience on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Must have journalism background and at least 3 years’ editorial production experience for a network or cable operation.
• Proficient in Outlook and iNews.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Willingness to work in New York and travel as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with short notice.
• Must provide a reel/portfolio of work examples.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to production of original content for air, including story development.
• Aid in extensive editorial research.
• Conduct pre-interviews and on-camera interviews.
• Participate in shooting, fact-checking and editing, as directed.
• Produce short web-extras under the direction of the Senior Producer.
• Coordinate with technical, operations staff and external resources.
• Travel for bookings, productions and trials.
