Job summary

Pit Viper, based in South Salt Lake, Utah, seeks an E-Commerce Tech Lead to manage the Shopify storefronts across the U.S., Canada, and Australia. You will lead external developers, plan requirements, and ensure on-time delivery while coordinating with Marketing, Merchandising, Sales, and Operations.

The role focuses on technical leadership, site maintenance, and integrations with NetSuite. You will collaborate with an agency and partner teams to maintain an exceptional online shopping

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience with Shopify (Shopify Plus strongly preferred).
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, and SQL.
• Experience using GitHub for version control, branching, and code review.
• Proficient use of AI development tools to accelerate development, code review, and documentation.
• Experience managing external developers, contractors, or agency teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the development backlog for DTC and B2B storefronts, translating priorities into technical work.
• Manage external and contract developers, assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress.
• Review code and deliverables in GitHub for quality and alignment with requirements.
• Unblock developers, answer technical questions, and make implementation decisions.
• Step in on urgent fixes or small changes when faster than outsourcing.
• Oversee Shopify front-end updates across multiple storefronts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid).
• Ensure visual consistency, responsive design, and theme-related bug fixes.
• Oversee Celigo flows between Shopify, NetSuite, and other connected systems.
• Coordinate with Celigo and NetSuite partners to address integrations and escalations.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to support launches and campaigns.
• Write clear technical requirements, briefs, and tickets for fixes and roadmap projects.
• Conduct regular QA, monitor performance, and ensure changes pass QA before release.
• Maintain documentation of changes, fixes, and technical notes.
