Job summary

Trillium is seeking a proactive Shift Supervisor for our Hamburg, New Jersey facility. This role leads shop floor supervision, directs leads, and ensures safety, quality and on-time production. You will drive training, scheduling, 5S housekeeping, and adherence to standards to optimize operations.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of supervisory experience, lean manufacturing background, and strong communication and computer skills to manage documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2-4 year degree in related technique desired.
• Supervisory of direct technicians required.
• Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• Advanced computer literacy with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide input on work cell requirements to meet goals.
• Screen candidates for best fit.
• Lead candidate selection.
• Plan and manage new hire training.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
• Plan and maintain work schedules.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
• Assign tasks outside of the normal schedule as needed.
• Implement 5S-Organization system for a cleaner, more efficient workspace.
• Remove unnecessary items from the workspace.
• Arrange and label necessary items for easy access.
• Keep the workspace clean and standardized.
• Maintain proper procedures consistently.
• Ensure team members complete necessary safety training and certifications.
• Ensure use of protective equipment.
• Maintain equipment in safe working order.
• Ensure safety equipment is functional (e.g., fire extinguishers, eye wash stations).
• Ensure team members understand and meet ISO standards.
• Ensure all work meets Trillium quality directives.
• Ensure team members are trained and understand written standards.
• Verify knowledge of work instructions.
• Ensure all work complies with written standards.
• Conduct business safely and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Undertake miscellaneous projects and tasks.
• Manage shift pass downs (reports).
