Job summary

Forgent Power is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure product and process quality across fabrication, assembly, powder coating, and operations. The role emphasizes daily shop-floor engagement, rapid problem solving, and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include real-time troubleshooting, process audits, MRB leadership, and maintenance of quality documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
3–7 years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Certifications such as CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide shop floor quality support and troubleshooting for manufacturing and support processes.
Lead data analysis and reporting of FPY, scrap, rework, and issue logs.
Drive structured problem solving and corrective actions.
Conduct process audits and lead MRB meetings; support training and onboarding.
Maintain and update quality systems documentation and calibration controls.
