APAC Central Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled Welder to advance their career within a safety‑driven team. You will fabricate and repair metal components using electric and acetylene welding methods under the Shop Foreman.

This role offers growth, training, and opportunities to advance within a broad infrastructure-focused company. The position pays $20–$26 per hour, based on experience and certifications, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical education or certificate in welding preferred.
• Valid state-approved welding certification preferred (not required).
• Experience with TIG, MIG, and STICK welding methods.
• Proficient with grinders, generators, drill presses, lathes, punches, shears and band saws.

Responsibilities

• Safely cut, lay out, fit, and weld sheet metal and other metals to fabricate or repair equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions for daily projects.
• Perform repairs and plant maintenance using grinders, wire brushes, cutting torches, and other welding tools.
• Fabricate parts and components with welding machines and oxy-acetylene torches.
• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure policy compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor servicing of welding equipment and supplies.
• Uphold safety regulations and use PPE at all times.
• Maintain a professional, positive attitude with coworkers, supervisors and clients.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities

Uphold company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety regulations at all times, including the use of PPE

Maintain a professional, positive attitude with co-workers, supervisors, and clients

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GEDrequired

Technical education or certificate in welding and fitting preferred

Valid state-approved welding certification preferred (notrequired)

Experience with TIG, MIG, and STICK welding methods

Proficient with a range of welding tools, including grinders, generators, drill presses, lathes, punches, shears, and band saws

Strong understanding of various metals and alloys

Ability to read blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions

Effective communicator in one-on-one and group settings

Ability tolift upto 50lbsand perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods

Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) is a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to work in environments with noise, fumes, gases, dust, and temperature extremes

Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection

Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts and machinery
