Holliday Sand & Gravel Company, a CRH Company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Welder to join our Kansas maintenance team. In this hands-on role, you’ll fabricate and repair metal components using electric and acetylene welding under the guidance of our Shop Foreman.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical welding training preferred.
• Experience with TIG, MIG, and STICK welding methods.
• Proficient with welding tools and metalworking equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow safety rules.
• Strong communication and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently cut, lay out, fit, and weld sheet metal and other metals or alloys to fabricate or repair equipment
• Interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions for daily projects
• Perform repairs and plant maintenance using grinders, wire brushes, cutting torches, and other welding tools
• Fabricate parts and components as needed with welding machines and oxy-acetylene torches
• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of equipment and vehicles, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Perform routine maintenance and minor servicing of welding equipment and supplies
• Uphold company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety regulations at all times, including PPE
• Maintain a professional, positive attitude with co-workers, supervisors, and clients
• Consistently demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality

Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GEDrequired

Technical education or certificate in welding and fitting preferred

Valid state-approved welding certification preferred (notrequired)

Experience with TIG, MIG, and STICK welding methods

Proficient with a range of welding tools, including grinders, generators, drill presses, lathes, punches, shears, and band saws

Strong understanding of various metals and alloys

Ability to read blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions

Effective communicator in one-on-one and group settings

Ability tolift upto 50lbsand perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods

Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) is a plus

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.

Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.

Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50lbsas needed.

Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.

Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.

Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, tooperateequipment safe.
