Job summary

Landmark is seeking a Shop Welder to join our team in Decatur, Texas. The role focuses on welding steel to Landmark’s quality standards using FCAW with gas-shielded wire and performing arc gouge in multiple positions.

Familiarity with drawings/blueprints is required. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, knowledge of OSHA and industry standards (API, ASME, AWWA, NACE, ACI), and CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of similar experience.
• Experience with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Experience with API, ASME, AWWA, NACE, ACI standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW gas shielded wire welding in flat, vertical, horizontal and overhead positions.
• Arc gouge in multiple positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Operate oxy/acetylene torch and interpret drawings/blueprints.

Landmark has an opportunity for a Shop Welder to join our team. This position performs tasks related to welding steel safely, efficiently, and to Landmark’s quality standards.

Essential Functions

• FCAW gas shielded wire flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
• Arc gouge flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
• Oxy/acetylene torch work
• Understanding or reading of drawings and/or blueprints

Non-Essential Functions

• Overhead cranes and other heavy construction equipment
• Rigging knowledge
• Safe operation of construction tools and equipment
• Grinding and sanding
