Job summary

Landmark is seeking a Shop Helper to support fabrication and steel plate work in our Texas shop. You will measure, mark, lay out components, and operate a range of hand and power tools safely to Landmark's standards.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in a fabrication or welding shop and are committed to safety, quality, and efficient work. Training on crane and forklift operation is provided as needed, with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in fabrication, steel fabrication, or welding shop.
• Ability to read/layout using a tape measure.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Willingness to learn to operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure, mark, and lay-out materials using a tape measure.
• Listen and follow instructions.
• Safely use hand and power tools including saws, grinders, torches.
• Operate an overhead crane.
• Maintain shop housekeeping and organize materials.
• Observe Landmark safety policies.
• Safely operate a forklift or other heavy equipment.

Landmark has an opportunity for a Shop Helper to join our team. This position performs tasks related to fabricating steel plate safely, efficiently, and to Landmark's quality standards.

Essential Functions:

• Accurately measure, mark & lay-out materials/parts using a tape measure along with other lay-out tools
• Reliably listen & follow instructions
• Safely and efficiently use a variety of hand and power tools including saws, sheers, punches, grinders, cutting torch, & handheld plasma torch
• Safely and efficiently operate an overhead crane
• General shop housekeeping; organization of raw & processed materials
• Understands and practices the Landmark Safety Policy. Observes all safety practices and procedures.
• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift or other heavy equipment

Equipment Operation:

• Frequent use of various Power Tools
• Frequent use of various Manual Tools
• Potential rare use of Heavy Equipment

Experience Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience in a fabrication / steel fabrication or welding shop setting
