Job summary

Stabil Drill, a part of Superior Energy Services, seeks a Full-Time Shop Technician in Midland, TX to support drilling operations. You will dismantle, repair, and reassemble tools, load and unload equipment with a forklift, and keep the shop clean while ensuring safe operations and adherence to QHSE policies.

The role involves inventory tasks, minor project support, and local deliveries with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a related field preferred.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble tools for jobs.
• Load and unload equipment; operate a forklift.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and proper debris disposal; pressure wash.
• Assist with special projects and daily inventory.
• Move tools and perform preventative maintenance.
• Operate a shop truck for local errands and deliveries.
• Follow safety policies and be on-call on a rotation basis.
• Comply with QHSE handbooks and emergency procedures.
• Perform any other delegated duties as assigned.

Stabil Drill is currently seeking a Full-Time Shop Technician to join our team in Midland, TX.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Dismantle tools, repair, and reassemble for jobs.


• Assist in loading and unloading equipment while operating a forklift.


• Responsible for the cleanliness, pressure washing, maintenance and proper disposal of debris on property. Including general shop, breakroom, & cleanup


• Assist in special projects.


• Shop organization and supply storage. Including daily and weekly inventory.


• Receiving and distribution of supplies.


• Assist with the movement of tools


• Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment


• Operate a shop truck for local errands and deliveries.


• Follow established safety policies and procedures.


• On a rotation basis, will be required to be on call when scheduled.


• Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer QHSE handbooks, QHSE procedures and emergency procedures.


• Perform any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the department.

Education/Experience

• Minimum of one to three years’ experience in a related field preferred.


• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.


• Certification operating a forklift preferred.


• Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
