Job summary

FlexTG is seeking a Shop Technician to prepare, configure, and validate copier and printer equipment before it ships to customer sites. This role ensures devices are assembled, pre-configured, tested, and deployment-ready, supporting efficient field service workflows.

You'll work in a controlled shop, collaborating with Warehouse, Delivery, Scheduling, and Project teams. The position is not customer-facing and does not include on-site installations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical experience including setting up machines and handling technical tasks.
• Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical individuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and coworkers.
• Must be independent, self-motivated, and attentive to detail.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, pre-configure, program, and test copier and printer equipment for deployment.
• Validate basic device networking in a controlled shop before delivery.
• Remove and cleanse hard drives from returned equipment per data security requirements.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Delivery to support staging and deployment schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per 5S standards.
