Job summary

FlexTG is seeking a Shop Technician to prep and configure copier and printer equipment in our Baltimore-area shop. You will assemble, pre-configure, test, and validate devices before deployment, ensuring they are ready for field service and compliant with security requirements.

The role supports collaboration with Warehouse, Delivery, Scheduling, and Projects teams in a controlled environment. A High School diploma or GED and basic mechanical experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical experience preferred, including setting up machines and handling similar tasks.
• Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical individuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, pre-configure, program, and test copier/printer equipment for deployment.
• Apply firmware updates and configure devices per templates and customer requirements.
• Perform quality checks and document equipment status prior to shipment.
• Validate basic device networking functionality in a controlled shop environment.
• Conduct test printing/scanning to verify readiness and identify issues.
• Remove and cleanse hard drives in line with data security requirements.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Delivery teams to support staging and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records in job-related systems and databases.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following 5S standards.
