Job summary

Goodfellow Corporation is seeking a Shop Laborer to support daily manufacturing operations by keeping work areas clean, organizing spaces, moving materials, and assisting operators. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and reliable teamwork in a busy shop environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining PPE compliance, reporting hazards, and assisting with material movement and setup. Prior forklift or material-handling experience is valued, with certifications potentially completed

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Ability to learn new tasks, follow instructions, and understand basic shop and production processes.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a changing production environment.
• Forklift, material-handling, or fabrication-machinery experience is highly valued; required certifications may be completed after hire.
• Ability to communicate hazards, shortages, and work concerns promptly and clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own Safety in Daily Work and follow shop procedures.
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment only if trained and authorized.
• Maintain clean and organized shop areas, waste disposal per standards.
• Assist operators with material movement, staging, setup, cleanup, and other tasks.
• Learn new tasks and provide general operational support as production priorities change.
