Job summary

Blanchard Machinery Company in Greenville, SC seeks a Shop Technician I - Compact to join our service team. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of diesel-powered equipment, learning CAT systems and diagnostic tools in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment preferred.
• Shift work, weekends and/or 24 hour call may be required.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures is required.
• Able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance service manuals.
• Strong time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with initiative and minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional representation of Blanchard with customers.
• Strong problem solving and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a positive work environment and aligns with Blanchard's values.
• Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
• Uses diagnostic tools and interprets electrical/hydraulic diagrams.
• Completes paperwork and service reports accurately.
• Maintains safety standards and promotes a safe work environment.
• Assists with parts installation and equipment testing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
