Job summary

Blanchard Machinery Company in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment both in the shop and on customer sites. You will troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and use diagnostic tools such as CAT ET and CAT-SIS.

This role requires a CDL, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions, with opportunities for advancement and comprehensive

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record; CDL preferred.
• Must have a complete set of tools for heavy equipment work.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Organizational and time-management skills for a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a safe work environment and aligns with company values.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment mechanically, hydraulically, and diesel-powered.
• Diagnoses equipment including diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Prepare parts requisitions, timecards, and service reports accurately.
• Works both in shop and on customer sites; may involve shift work and overtime.
