Qualifications

• Must live within commuting distance of Freeport, TX.
• Must be 21 years old+ with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
• Willing and available to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service requests.
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Previous diesel and service experience.
• Technical and computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office, engine diagnostic tools, rental industry software, and related systems.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and display excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage workflow in a timely and consistent manner while working well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Commitment to following company workplace safety guidelines and environmental standards while on duty or on site.
• Personal tools required.

SAGE Rental Services is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Shop Technician to join our Freeport, TX team. This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing SAGE rental equipment in the shop and at customer locations as needed. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, communicates professionally, takes pride in quality work, and provides prompt, dependable support to customers and team members.

• Customer service – Inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment and machinery. Diagnose issues, resolve requests or concerns in a timely manner, maintain positive customer relationships, and follow company operating and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade or technical certification, or previous rental, industrial, or heavy equipment experience


• Rotating equipment experience


• 2-5 years; heavy equipment industry experience preferred
