The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, solid communication skills, and a safety-first approach. Local commuting distance is required with no on/off rotation, and willingness to participate in after-hours on-call

Qualifications

• Must live within local commuting distance of Deer Park, TX; no on/off rotation.
• Must be ≥21 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Willing to participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Previous diesel and service experience.
• Technical and computer literacy with Microsoft Office, engine diagnostic tools, and related systems.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships and communicate effectively.
• Ability to manage workflow in a timely, team-oriented environment.

Shop Technician - Deer Park, Texas

SAGE Rental Services is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Shop Technician to join our Deer Park, Texas team. This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing SAGE rental equipment in the shop and at customer locations as needed. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, communicates professionally, takes pride in quality work, and provides prompt, dependable support to customers and team members. Responsibilities include:

• Customer service - Inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment and machinery. Diagnose issues, resolve requests or concerns in a timely manner, maintain positive customer relationships, and follow company operating and safety procedures.
• Equipment repair and maintenance - Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and service work on rental equipment. Create customer work orders, troubleshoot equipment issues, and guide customers on proper equipment use when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Must live within local commuting distance of the Deer Park, TX area; rotational on/off schedule work will not be provided
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
• Must be willing and available to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service requests

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade or technical certification, or previous rental, industrial, or heavy equipment experience
• Rotating equipment experience
• 2-5 years of relevant experience; heavy equipment industry experience preferred
