Job summary

Distribution Company in Reno, NV is seeking a Shop Technician to assemble and calibrate parts to meet specifications. The role requires reading technical drawings, measuring accurately, and identifying units that fail tests for repair. Strong problem-solving skills and reliability are essential for daily production tasks. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m. with potential overtime. A high school diploma is required, and 1–2 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of job-related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and calibrate fabricated parts or units to meet specifications.
• Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as needed.
• Perform simple screening, bagging, boxing, or cutting operations.
• Inspect and test work for quality.
• Perform and log scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment.
• Determine sequence of operations, materials required, and procedures.
• Stage job materials for production according to procedure.
