Job summary

Redline Precision Group is seeking a dependable, hands-on Shop Technician to support daily operations in our machine shop. This role involves cutting steel and stock material, assisting with fabrication and welding tasks, operating a forklift, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, able to read basic drawings and measurements, and willing to learn. High school diploma preferred; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately cut steel and stock material.
• Basic welding knowledge or experience (a plus; willingness to learn required).
• Forklift experience (certification a plus; we can certify the right candidate).
• Ability to read a tape measure and basic shop drawings.
• Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and a team player.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut steel and stock material to size using saws, torches, and related shop equipment.
• Assist welders and fabricators with fit-up, prep, and general fabrication tasks.
• Operate a forklift to move, stage, and load material and finished product.
• Support machinists and shop personnel with setup, material handling, and cleanup.
• Read and interpret basic drawings, cut lists, and work orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on shop equipment and tools.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and shop procedures.
