Job Description

Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00 Hourly

Stotz Equipment is looking for a Shop Tech II/Diesel Mechanic. This individual will diagnose and repair engine components, including small engines, agricultural equipment, and other machinery. Work must be completed safely, professionally, and promptly. If you excel in problem-solving, teamwork, and growth opportunities, this is the place for you.

Responsibilities

1. Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned equipment.
2. Complete work with high quality and safety standards.
3. Engage with customers, diagnose electrical and hydraulic issues, troubleshoot using diagnostic tools, and make repairs.
4. Work primarily in the shop, with possible guidance from supervisors.

Qualifications

• Own and maintain personal tools.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to assemble, maintain, and diagnose electrical and hydraulic problems on equipment.
• Flexible schedule, including after-hours calls.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Preferred Experience

• 3-5 years as a mechanic working on small engines, diesel, and gas engines.
• Experience with John Deere or similar equipment.
• Education: High School Diploma; Associate's in Mechanical Systems or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands for operation of equipment and communication. Moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, stooping, kneeling, and bending are required.
