Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Shop Technician 1, Repair to evaluate and repair electrical assemblies and PCBs for repair and refurbishment. The role involves electrical wiring, soldering and testing of assemblies under supervision, and reports to the Assistant Area Manager, I&C Operations at the New Stanton, PA facility.

The position is on-site five days a week, with a base salary range noted and benefits described.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent.
• 1+ year of relevant electrical and PCB skills.
• Preferred: Nuclear Industry experience.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair electrical assemblies and PCBs in support of repair and refurbishment.
• Perform electrical wiring, soldering and testing of assemblies following standard procedures.
• Record data and report to supervision.
• Work with electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Install components, units and wiring as required.

As a Shop Technician 1, Repair, you will evaluate and repair electrical assemblies and PCB’s in support of repair and refurbishment. You may perform electrical wiring, soldering and testing of assemblies, following standard procedures and under supervision.

You will report to the Assistant Area Manager, I&C Operations, and will be based out of our New Stanton, PA facility. This is an anchor position that is required on site 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to comprehend semi-complex mechanical and/or electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures, and record data in the required form.
• Ability/knowledge of electrical equipment, electrical soldering skills, hand and power tool usage.
• Apply knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical theory and components.
• Install components, units, subassemblies and wiring.
• Ability to Operate electrical/electronic test equipment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/equivalent
• 1+ years relevant experience with demonstrated electrical and PCB skills. Specific knowledge of electrical, assembly, and wiring.
• Preferred: Nuclear Industry experience.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $49,534.00 to $63,440.00 per year.
