Job summary

Patterson-UTI is hiring a Shop Technician - DHT in Fort Worth, TX. This role supports build, repair, and maintenance of downhole tool products within a fast-paced shop, following QMS and proper documentation. You will handle assembly, repairs, and clean/organize work areas while coordinating with teams to meet deadlines.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, forklift competency, and the ability to multitask. Prior oil & gas or shop experience is preferred. OT may be required.

Job description

The Shop Technician - DHT works closely with DHT management and the shop coordinator to support the build, repair, and maintenance of downhole tool products. This role requires adherence to quality management systems (QMS), proper documentation of all work performed, and safe operation of shop equipment.

Key responsibilities include assembling tools according to established procedures, performing repairs, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The technician will also operate material handling equipment, assist with transportation of tools and supplies, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop environment.

Minimum Qualifications
