POSITION SUMMARY

Entry level technician position: To work with and assist experienced shop technician with basic day to day inspections and make ready of rental equipment. Attend basic company sponsored training as part of a two year program to become experienced technician.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Assist with make ready of rental equipment.
• Steam clean equipment.
• Service rental equipment
• Install attachments
• Perform basic repairs under the supervision of senior technician
• Attend weekly Lift Truck fundamentals classes.
• Complete online safety training.
• Learn to assess equipment damage and help generate service repair quote.
• Learn to fill out all shop inspection paper work, Work orders & Time cards
• Fill out and file paper work for warranty repairs
• Organize storage of rental equipment.
• Clean and maintain lot & dock areas.
  

Qualifications

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Education / Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent; 3-6 months of related mechanical experience and or/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Internet software.
• Certificates and Licenses: Must have valid drivers license
