Job summary

Texas First Rentals is seeking a Shop Service Technician 2 in San Marcos to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment following established procedures. You will work independently or with a team to deliver reliable mechanical services that meet customer needs and department goals.

Entry-level position with two or more years of relevant experience; you will follow instructions and pre-established guidelines under moderate supervision, with opportunities for professional growth through ProTech

Qualifications

• Two or more years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have basic mechanic hand and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions.
• Disassembles and assembles basic machine components per manufacturer specifications.
• Repairs, rebuilds, and maintains equipment and components.
• Maintains knowledge of estimating, planning, and cost control for repairs.
• Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return.
• Maintains clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
• Adheres to safety policies and company procedures; may work overtime.
• Keeps knowledge up to date via training paths.
