Job summary

Ohio CAT, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking a Shop Service Technician to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and aerial lifts as part of a collaborative team. You will troubleshoot drive-train, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform routine maintenance, and ensure accurate service records while communicating with customers and team members.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with DC electrical systems, and the ability to read technical manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or college coursework preferred.
• Prior experience in construction or power equipment service and repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical service skills.
• Proficiency with DC electrical systems and machine electronics.
• Ability to read and apply technical manuals and service bulletins.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, aerial lifts, and allied machinery.
• Troubleshoot drive-train, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
