Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Shop Preventative Maintenance Mechanic in our Spokane Shop division. You will maintain and repair sheet metal fabricating equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, and perform minor electrical wiring tasks and general machine work.

The role requires five years of construction-mechanic experience, an AA degree in construction management or equivalent, and proficiency with MS Office, along with knowledge of tools and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a mechanic in the construction industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in mechanical contracting.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines.
• Purchasing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on sheet metal fabricating equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform minor electrical wiring tasks.
• Repair and replace major machinery parts as needed.
• Improve machinery to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
• Maintain an organized maintenance shop and secure tools and records.
