Job summary

McKinstry seeks a Shop Preventative Maintenance Mechanic for our Spokane Shop to maintain and repair sheet metal equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns and perform minor electrical wiring and general machine work.

Qualifications

• Five years of mechanic experience in construction.
• AA degree in construction management or equivalent.
• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in mechanical contracting.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Purchasing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and minor electrical wiring.
• Repair and replace major machinery parts as needed.
• Improve machinery to increase productivity and longevity.
• Perform machine work: turning, drilling, welding, grinding.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop.
