Job summary

Goodfellow Corporation is seeking a Shop Laborer to support daily manufacturing operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas, assisting operators, handling materials, and performing general shop tasks. The role emphasizes safety, PPE compliance, and dependable teamwork in a busy shop environment.

You will help move materials, stage setup, and support production priorities while following written and verbal work instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to learn new tasks and follow instructions.
• Forklift, material-handling, or fabrication machinery experience is valued; certifications may be completed after hire.
• Ability to communicate hazards, shortages, and work concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Own safety in daily work and follow Goodfellow procedures with PPE.
• Inspect areas and report hazards promptly.
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment only if trained.
• Keep shop floors, workstations, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Assist operators with material movement, staging, setup, cleanup, and other tasks.
• Move and stage materials carefully to prevent injury or delays.
• Learn new tasks and provide general operational support as production needs change.
