Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a Shop Mechanic for its OES Equipment division. You will perform inspection, maintenance and light repairs on rental equipment, ensuring safety and readiness for the next cycle.

The role emphasizes adherence to OEM guidelines, proper documentation, and safe shop practices, with potential field support as needed. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in equipment maintenance, a valid license, and OSHA 10 certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, or related field.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification within 3 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Washes, inspects and performs light repair of returned rental equipment to ensure readiness for the next rental cycle.
• Performs preventive maintenance including lubrication, inspections, adjustments and wear-part replacement per OEM.
• Diagnoses basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, and small-engine issues and escalates complex repairs.
• Documents inspections, maintenance and repairs in work order systems.
• Maintains shop, yard and warehouse areas and ensures readiness of equipment.
