U-Haul Holding Company in Simpsonville, SC seeks a Shop Manager II to lead shop personnel and direct maintenance on rental equipment. The role focuses on profitability through adherence to standards, safety, and efficient operations.

You will oversee PM services, manage parts inventory, and coordinate repairs for trucks and trailers while ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Develop specialization of labor and use qualification matrix with shop staff.
• Familiar with warranty procedures and guidelines and be goal oriented.
• Follow repair campaigns and special programs exactly; maintain quotas and/or goals.
• Ensure that equipment repair is within published repair limits or obtain authorizations for exceedances.

Responsibilities

• Direct shop personnel to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Direct parts-inventory management and establish min/max levels.
• Ensure equipment passes Safety Certification Inspection before release to rental service.
• Hire, promote, evaluate, train and discipline shop personnel up to termination.
• Manage sublet vendors for specialized work and ensure budget adherence.
