Job summary

Ball Body Shop, Inc. is seeking a Shop Manager who will lead daily operations in our auto body shop, driving performance from the shop floor.

You will partner with the Office Manager to ensure seamless communication from the showroom to the bays and enforce company policies across all teams. You will train and develop staff, monitor quality checks and safety standards, manage licenses and permits, and coordinate with departments to achieve financial targets while fostering a constructive, safe

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in auto body / automotive / dealership industry preferred but not required; training provided.
• Must be able to lift heavy parts (50+ lbs) and maintain safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead from an eyes-on-production mindset with majority of time in shop.
• Partner with Office manager to ensure clear communication from front door to shop floor.
• Implement and enforce policies from Employee Manual.
• Identify, create, and maintain positive team culture.
• Oversee quality control checks and safety compliance (OSHA).
• Ensure leases, licenses, and permits are current.
• Interviewing, selecting, and training employees.
• Utilize management and estimating systems.
• Understand business financials and meet financial goals.
• Spend time cross-training in departments before taking Store Manager responsibilities.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SHOP MANAGER?

• Majority of time spent in shop leading from an eyes-on-production mindset
• Partner with a Office manager to ensure excellent communication from the front door to shop floor
• Implementing and holding employees accountable to policies outlined in B Street Employee Manual
• Identify, create, and maintain positive culture in a team
• Take part and ensure quality control checks are being completed
• Ensure employees meeting safety and OSHA standards
• Assuring all necessary leases, licenses, and permits are current and in place
• Interviewing, selecting, and training of employees
• Utilize a variety of management and estimating systems
• Understands business financials and meet financial goals
• Spend time training in each department before taking on Store Manager responsibilities to ensure you are set up for success as a leader and fully understand all facets of business

HERE ARE OUR NON-NEGOTIABLES

• Maintain a Monday – Friday 6:45am - 5:00pm schedule
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the auto body / automotive / dealership industry, or relatable field preferred but not required. We will teach and train the right candidate.
• Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, bend and manage car parts in excess of 50 pounds
• You must have a valid driver’s license
