Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality management procedures for the repair division.
- Handle order entry and billing processes.
- Manage a team of technicians, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and qualifications for servicing and repairs.
- Supervise technician performance and coordinate training to keep skills current.
- Create schedules and plan staff rotations to ensure timely customer service.
- Select appropriate equipment, such as diagnostic tools, to enhance service quality and productivity.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Identify key factors affecting customer satisfaction and develop training to improve service standards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety policies.
- Maintain a 24-hour response capability for service requests.
- Assist in resolving work problems and support technicians in troubleshooting.
Essential Mental Functions:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
- Ability to interpret customer needs and communicate instructions clearly to technicians.
- Good diagnostic skills for assessing service requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills to handle concerns and complaints.
Essential Physical Functions & Equipment:
- Ability to lift objects up to 75 lbs.
- Capability to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to operate large warehouse equipment, such as forklifts.
- Flexibility to work off-hours, weekends, and overtime on short notice.
- Knowledge of rigging and moving heavy/awkward items.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and clean rooms.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Distribution.
- At least 3 years of Inside Sales/Customer Service experience, ideally in an industrial distribution setting.
- Minimum 2 years of field experience, with knowledge of safety procedures and multi-level calling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in heat transfer, pumps, valves, instrumentation, boilers, and compressed air systems.
- Proficient in computer applications; knowledge of P21 is a plus.
Work Environment: Standard warehouse environment.
