A leading distributor in industrial motion and fluid power seeks an experienced supervisor to manage the repair division in Omaha. This role requires a strong mechanical background, expertise in customer service, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s degree and relevant experience, ensuring optimal service and customer satisfaction.
· Develop and maintain quality management procedures and practices for the repair division.
· Responsible for order entry and billing.
· Responsible for maintaining a team of technicians with the skills and qualifications to carry out the servicing and repairs offered.
· Supervise technicians’ performance and arrange training programs to keep skills up to date.
· Prepare schedules and plan staff duty rotations to ensure timely completion of servicing and repairs to meet customer satisfaction.
· Select equipment, such as diagnostic tools, to improve/maintain quality and productivity of service/repair.
· Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
· Manage inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies and equipment needed for service and repair.
· Identify key aspects affecting customer satisfaction, such as delivery services, cost accuracy, and work quality, and develop training programs to enhance customer service standards.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
· Responsible for providing a 24-hour response to service requests.
· Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work-related issues.
Essential Mental Functions:
· Strong attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
· Ability to interpret customer needs and communicate clear instructions to technicians.
· Good diagnostic skills to identify service requirements and evaluate technician work.
· Excellent customer service skills to handle concerns or complaints.
Essential Physical Functions/Equipment Used:
· Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
· Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
· Ability or willingness to learn operation of large warehouse equipment, such as forklifts.
· Flexibility to work off-hours, weekends, and overtime on short notice as needed.
· Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and moving heavy/awkward products.
· Ability to work in various operating conditions (heat, cold, clean room).
Preferred Education/Experience:
· Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred, in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Distribution.
· Minimum 3+ years of Inside Sales/Customer Service experience, preferably in an industrial distribution setting.
· Minimum 2+ years of field experience, including safety procedures and calling on all levels of personnel.
· Strong mechanical and technical background, including experience with heat transfer, pumps, valves, instrumentation, boilers, compressed air systems, etc.
· Strong computer skills; knowledge of P21 is helpful.
· Work environment primarily in a warehouse setting.
