  • Proactively collaborate with the operations team to synchronize maintenance schedules with operational needs, aiming to minimize downtime and anticipate equipment demands.
  • Lead and manage a team of 1 to 2 small engine mechanics, fostering an environment of learning and efficiency.
  • Analyze current maintenance workflows for efficiency, identifying lean methods to reduce waste and optimize spending without compromising on the quality of maintenance.
  • Evaluate the current state of equipment maintenance, implementing process improvements and leveraging preventive maintenance strategies to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned repairs.
QualificationsQualifications:
  • Significant experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance, with a specialized focus on the mentioned brands (Dodge, Ford, Isuzu, John Deere, and Stihl).
  • Prior experience in or aptitude for creating and managing an inventory system, with an emphasis on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Strategic thinker with a track record of improving process efficiency, particularly in a lean and cost-sensitive operating environment.
Additional Information:

This role demands a proactive approach, with the Head Mechanic required to be not just reactive but predictive, staying one step ahead of equipment maintenance needs.
