Job summary

Liberty Waste Solutions, LLC in Fayetteville, NC, seeks an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily diesel shop operations at our Fayetteville location. You will ensure safety, environmental compliance, and high-quality maintenance of heavy trucks and equipment, while driving efficiency and service excellence.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems, mentoring 1–2 junior mechanics, and managing parts inventory and maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Advanced analytical and repair skills.
• Five years or more relevant work experience.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a reliable and punctual
• Demonstrate ability to coach/mentor/influence others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily diesel shop operations at the Fayetteville location.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, chassis, bodies, and heavy equipment.
• Repair electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and shop repairs.
• Mentor and manage one to two level B & C mechanics.
• Order and inventory parts and manage maintenance software.

Our Fayetteville location is seeking an experienced Diesel Shop Supervisor to support daily maintenance operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Maintains a working knowledge of the following vehicle and equipment components and systems, with the ability to perform preventative and repair maintenance functions:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, chassis, bodies, and other heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.
• Repair company equipment in shop and on-road service.
• Use electronic tools to identify malfunctions.
• Welding and fabrication
• Order and inventory all parts and tires
• Responsible for maintenance software
• Able to mentor and manage one to two level B & C mechanics

Job Requirements:
