Job description

Shop laborer to perform various manual tasks such as stacking lumber, cleaning work areas, quality control, while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling.
• Preparation and Cleanup.
• Cleaning and Sweeping floors.
• Removing Debris, trash, hazards.
• Ensuring the Shop and lumber yard remains safe and organized.
• Stacking Lumber.
• Loading, unloading and moving materials by hand or with basic equipment.
• Organizing and storing materials efficiently.
• Assisting with delivery and placement of materials.
• Assisting skilled workers.
• Operating tools and equipment.
• Operating hand tools such as shovels, sanders and saws.
• Operating basic equipment.
• May assist with the operation of heavier equipment under supervision.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Following safety procedures and regulations.
• Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (ppe).
• Maintaining clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Physical Strength and Stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
