Job summary

Airgas, located in Charlotte, NC, is hiring a Shop Laborer to support welding equipment rental operations. You will perform repairs, testing, calibration and routine maintenance on shop equipment, while maintaining a clean, safe environment and assisting other technicians.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 0–1 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of welding equipment; test and calibrate machines for rent or sale.
  • Replace defective parts and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Keep a clean, safe shop and assist other technicians as needed.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack or other equipment to move machines in the shop.
